A Week of Workshop Teaching

I spent a delightful week with the Fiber Arts Guild of Central Oregon teaching workshops and giving a PowerPoint presentation about my own journey as a weaver.
Trash Bag Garment Design Workshop
The first workshop was created to help weavers find their "inner designer" by using trash bags. See the results in this video!
Weave, Cut, and Sew Your Own Workshop
The second workshop registration filled up quickly, so we taught this one twice. By adding a pre-workshop Zoom session, we were able to squeeze the hands-on session into two very full days of cutting and sewing. It was a great group of handweavers, ready to take the next step: actually cutting their fabrics.
Each project was unique, and it was my job to guide them through decision-making (and sometimes pulling something out of the fire), all the while sharing my experience and building their confidence in cutting their cloth and sewing a handwoven garment.
We are making plans for doing this next year, too!
