September's Experiences

September 2025 has been full of rich experiences. I was honored with an award at the prestigious St. Louis Art Fair and also served as a mentor in the Emerging Artists Program. Then I spent time in my sister's kitchen making tomato chutney as friends and neighbors delivered boxes of garden tomatoes to her door. There is nothing better than the flavor of a homegrown tomato. The dark red chutney was rich in color and spices, inspiring ideas for next Fall's collection.
Next week, on September 19-21, I will show my work at the Kansas City Plaza Art Fair for the first time. Find me in Booth 105.
The following weekend, I conclude my Midwest art fair schedule with the Peoria Guild Fine Art Fair. I won an award there a few years ago, and I make an effort to return to shows when this occurs. After Peoria, I will turn the Sprinter westward and head home before the snow begins to fall in the Rockies.
I look forward to seeing you at these events! I will travel home with good memories, empty hangers, and visions of the next work to be created in my studio.
Sincerely,
Karen Gelbard
