Halloween at The Oregon Weaver

Halloween is a favorite holiday of mine for all of the fun, slightly scary stuff. Making my own costume began in fourth grade. I sewed patches onto a long skirt for a witch costume. My inexpereinced stitches were long and crooked. Which probably made the costume more convincing. After all, who expects a witch to have perfect seams?
My sewing skills have improved considerably since the fourth grade, but my enthusiasm for Halloween hasn't changed.
This year, I decided to bring a little mischief into the Studio.
At first everything seems perfectly normal. But wait, who are these characters?
There is a clingly spider, an extra hand, and a creature with glowing red eyes who are in the studio that I can't quite explain.
Surely Hector, my faithful feathered friend, will know what to do!
Oh, I see, Hector, believes that large spiders, disemboweled hands, and glowing red eyed monsters are well beyond his resposibilities as the official messager for Stories from the Studio.
His feathers are ruffled. His indignation is genuine or is he just scared?).
And now he wants a raise?!
I suppose he has a point.
Negotiations are on-going...
Happy Halloween from Karen and Hector, the Owl
