A conversation with an acquaintance

Friend: “Hello! How are you? Looks like you have gotten a little sun recently. What have you been doing?”

Me: I have been traveling a little. I have been outdoors most weekends…storing up the sunshine for winter.

What I really did….

Art in the High Desert, Bend, OR, Art in the Pearl, Portland, OR, St. Louis Art Fair, Clayton, MO, Plaza Art Fair, Kansas City, MO, Peoria Fine Art Fair, Peoria, IL, and home again.

About 5,293 miles.

I am grateful to each of you who came to see me at these events, made a purchase, said hello, or came to help with setup and tear down. You make these road trips worthwhile and memorable. Thank you so much! To my brother-in-law who fixed my dented tent pole and steam-cleaned my booth rug, to Owen who discovered setting up the tent and tear down was fun, to my husband who has patiently listened to the trials and tribulations and offered to help drive the van home, and most of all to my sister who given unwavering support to me at these long art fair weekends in the Midwest. You are wonderful.

In November, look for a special on-line sale through my website. I will send you an invite by blog post or email. Stay in touch!

Your handweaver,

Karen Gelbard
