The new work coming out of the studio of The Oregon Weaver this season features a sewn technique, called pin tucks, that gives me a way to “draw”. Now I can tell another story about the Oregon Coast. There are a lot of brambles, trees and twigs where I live. It is a wild, untamed landscape. With this new technique I can now add texture to the woven jacket that tells this story. Each one is unique. Sometimes it is the lapping of the waves on the beach, sometimes it is the twigs and branches.
